Hello, my name is Farrel Ekau. I am from Waianae, Hawaii, 24 years-old, recently graduated from the Air Force Academy with a degree in Biochemistry. I am now stationed at Hanscom Air Force base as an acquisitions officer. Growing up, I would always take care of my baby cousins and my culture required detailed care. Soon thereafter I found myself volunteering for disabled children as well as babysitting for families allover Hawaii, Colorado, and Florida. I love kids and want to make a positive impact on children, their education, and their overall view of life. I believe that life is short so love should be at the forefront of every interaction.

I have been taking care of children for most of my life, starting with younger siblings and eventually moving on to neighbors and finally, when I was old enough to drive, branching out to families all over town and in several other towns. I worked at a child care center for two years after graduating high school. I have experience with children of all ages, newborns to preteens, and have taken care of twins, triplets, and children with special needs. I've done overnights, vacations, and weekends away with families, I have taken care of children from multiple families at once (up to eight), and I've gone along on all types of outings just to be an extra set of hands. I really, truly enjoy spending time with children whether we're on an outdoor adventure together, snuggled up reading a book, or talking to each other in silly voices.
