Hello! My name is Julia, I’m 30 years old, and I was born and raised in Minnesota. I’ve been working as an independent nanny for the past several years for a few families. I have experience with a wide array of ages and ability levels, from infant to teens. I most recently was a nanny part time for a family with three boys under 4 years old. Prior to becoming a nanny, I worked as a direct support professional and independent living skills counselor in a group home and in community based settings. I worked with individuals with severe and persistent mental illnesses and neurodivergent individuals, helping them learn life and coping skills. I have also worked with children with autism and Down Syndrome during my time as a nanny. I am very contentious about safety, and am fully vaccinated against COVID. I have ten plus years of child care and related experience and am CPR and first aid trained. I have also taken child development safety courses including SIDS and head trauma. I am a recent college graduate working as a youth outdoor education leader at a local outdoor access and inclusivity-focused organization. I really enjoy working with and caring for kids. My last family moved just before Covid took hold. I had just updated my child infant CPR and first aid as I intended to start looking again. That didn’t happen because of Covid so I’m starting again now.
