Hi all! My name is Jaelyn and I have been working in childcare for almost 5years now and the kids are the light of my life. I also have family with little ones I’m always around and have a younger brother. I am in school for elementary education with a minor in early childhood. I love to go to work and be around the kids as much as I can even while in school. With over 30 years of experience in childcare across various settings, I have most recently had the privilege of supporting friends and family as they grow their families and navigate busy lives. I hold a degree in Elementary Education, am CPR and First Aid certified, and have received training in trauma-informed caregiving. I have experience caring for children from newborns to teens, including multiples. While my experience with special needs children has been classroom-based, I am open to opportunities where I can receive guidance and training to best meet a child’s needs. Beyond childcare, I’m an animal lover—especially dogs—and am happy to help care for furry family members, provided they are trained. However, I am reluctant to care for pets with feathers or scales. I enjoy meal planning, prepping, and cooking, and I have a knack for winning over even the pickiest eaters. Additionally, I’m happy to assist with light housework or laundry, provided compensation aligns with those expectations. I can also help with homework—what I don’t know, I’m determined to figure out! I have basic piano knowledge, including beginning Suzuki method piano, and can assist with practice or lessons. Having recently relocated back to Minneapolis from Nashville, I am familiar with the unique childcare needs of high-profile families. Hello! My name is Jessica and I'm 30 years old. Over the years, I have been a nanny, an educator, and a child care worker. I work in nonprofit admin and take on extra babysitting work as needed. I'm currently looking to pick up babysitting gigs to help pay for my upcoming honeymoon. As I have a day job, I’m only available for occasional babysitting on nights and weekend I was a full time nanny while putting myself through grad school. I started with the family when the eldest was only 14 months and worked with them until they had two kiddos in elementary school. And even now, I still babysit for them when I can. I have received training and certification from the Red Cross in CPR, child specific CPR, and the Heimlich maneuver. Additionally, I worked at the University Child Development Center for 2 years, while I was in undergrad. I primarily worked in the preschool classrooms, but worked with infants and toddlers as a substitute child care worker when help was needed. My rates are flexible depending on families, as I do know childcare can be costly. I do have my own car, and I’m okay with dogs of all kinds. I first started on sitter city in 2008. It did not take long to meet and care for the children of several families. Many of the relationships were long term so I became inactive on the site. My last family moved just before Covid took hold. I had just updated my child infant CPR and first aid as I intended to start looking again. That didn’t happen because of Covid so I’m starting again now. I did raise 6 children of my own, worked as a nanny for 10 years and have been actively babysitting for Sittercity families for 10 years. I’m looking for occasional sitting opportunities in my area. Hello! My name is Julia, I’m 30 years old, and I was born and raised in Minnesota. I’ve been working as an independent nanny for the past several years for a few families. I have experience with a wide array of ages and ability levels, from infant to teens. I most recently was a nanny part time for a family with three boys under 4 years old. Prior to becoming a nanny, I worked as a direct support professional and independent living skills counselor in a group home and in community based settings. I worked with individuals with severe and persistent mental illnesses and neurodivergent individuals, helping them learn life and coping skills. I have also worked with children with autism and Down Syndrome during my time as a nanny. I am very contentious about safety, and am fully vaccinated against COVID.
