We had a wonderful experience with Barbara! She was amazing with my 2-year-old son—he connected with her right away and didn’t want her to leave at the end of the day, which says everything. She came prepared with toys that kept him engaged and happy, and she handled his routine perfectly. She even got him down smoothly for his nap, which isn’t always easy. It gave me real peace of mind knowing he was in such capable and caring hands. I would absolutely recommend her to anyone looking for a reliable and thoughtful babysitter.

Hi! My name is Holly O’Quinn. I am a mother of three grown children, and have been a nanny the last several years for toddlers. I started babysitting when I was 11. I had two families that I sat for at least once a weekend, and nannied for four children the summer I graduated. I have worked as a preschool teacher, assistant director and 4th and 5th grade after school program, assistant director for a child care center, and Art therapist for disabled students. I am CPR and First Aid certified. I have a degree in Developmental Psychology from Duke University. I enjoy watching young children play and develop. I love to read to children and do art activities and go on outings. I am available Monday, Tuesday and Wednesday and Thursday until 3:30. I prefer to not work on Fridays, although I would consider Friday morning depending on the week. I am often at the beach on weekends, but as it cools off, I will be more available. I look forward to meeting you and your child(ren)!

I started working with children when I was 17. My first experience was working for a daycare center, and I worked there for two and a half years. I started as a floater, but then I became a part-time teacher for K-2 and 3-year-old kids. I then went to another daycare and I worked with 1 to 2-year-old children. After the daycare experience, I decided to be a nanny and made a career out of it. I have 23.5 years of experience working with children. I am a 43 year-old woman with a 11 year-old daughter, who is very loving, caring, responsible and loves to grow a strong friendship with the family especially with the child/children. I ask $20-22 a hour depending on how many children, how many hours and the duties I would be responsible for doing. I am available on certain days, if interested, feel free to message me.

Melissa was with us for two years. She joined us when our son was just three months old, and from the very beginning, she provided exceptional care, love, and support. I was never worried about safety with Melissa. She is like a second mom to my son. She's the kind of nanny who goes with the child's flow, but also keeps safety boundaries in place and helps create a sustainable system to ease transitions between her care and ours. I trusted her to take my son out and about, drive him around, go to events and playgrounds, etc. She was always actively engaged with him and talking to him. Unlike with other nannies, I never had to tell her to get off of her phone, turn the screen off, interact more with my child, or inform her of what he needs at any given time. She is very safety conscious, focused on education, and helpful. Melissa regularly helped with household tasks like emptying the dishwasher, doing laundry, and vacuuming. She made everything tidier than she found it. When we hired Melissa, one of her references said that Melissa was the type of nanny who will somehow magically be able to keep the baby's socks on and I have found that to be true. At times, she has been more able to do various things to my son than I have (nail clippings, trying particular new foods, etc.). She also did seasonal and age appropriate crafts, which I think is very sweet. Melissa will make your life easier and give you a sense of peace that your little one is very well cared for.

I got a chance to spend a week with Phoebe while she took care of my one year old. She was patient, playful and very attentive to the toddlers needs without interrupting her natural moves and play. We really liked her and if distance was not a problem we would still have her with us!

I love working with children because you get to experience their creative, energetic personalities while watching them grow as individuals. The experience I have over the years is watching children of family friends and my own family's children and have been consistently nannying for a year and a half. What sets me apart is that I do plan on being a mother in the future so I would ensure to take care of anyone’s children like I would my own. Ensuring their safety, happiness, growth and learning is my priority.

Taking care of children is a task that requires God’s help. Scripture says that “God formed us in our mother’s womb”. Psalm 139:13. Therefore, only He knows and guides one in providing for the needs of each child that He’s formed/created. For the most part, my life has been fun when I have been around children. During my age years 7-16 I grew up alongside my younger siblings and helped keep an eye on them. It was one of the most adventurous experience of my life because of the funniest moments, but surely my first responsibility of making sure children were safe. Praise God who kept us all safe throughout those years. After age 17 and the present, my experience with children includes but is not limited to teaching Bible lessons and a variety of life skills to children ages 0-17 in settings such as a Christian school, private home and a church. The quality of the prints that I look forward to leave on each child is determined by the character and motivation on a person, and His name is Jesus. Each child is cared for and deeply loved by God the Father and His Son Jesus came to give his life [John 3:16] for them and everyone who puts their trust in Him. That’s the message that I give to each child, that God loves them. If given the opportunity to come alongside with you, I am committed to take care of your children to the best of my ability in a fun, playful but safe way.
