Hi! I'm Shannon, a 28 year old who lives in Raleigh and babysits for a living. I have reliable transportation and I'm CPR/ First Aid certified. I have been babysitting since I was 17 professionally. I started watching children with autism at 18 until last year because I became a full time nanny. I'm taking time off from Wake Technical Community college to save up money and figure out exactly which career I would like to pursue. I would love to talk on the phone, meet for coffee, an dome over to meet your family. I'm friendly, respectful, prompt, and tidy. Look forward to hearing from you! Shannon

Hi, my name is Jada, I’m 18 years old, I graduated high school early at 16 through Job Corps, where I also earned a business administration license. In addition to that, I am CPR certified, so safety is always my top priority. I’ve grown up around children and have helped care for my 4 nieces and 2 nephews since they were babies. Because of this, I’m very comfortable with feeding, playtime, engaging activities, homework help, nap/bedtime routines, and keeping kids safe and happy. I also completed Early Childhood Development classes in high school, which gave me a great foundation in child care and child behavior. Even though I haven’t worked in a professional daycare setting, I am the go-to babysitter for family and friends because I am trustworthy, reliable, and patient. I treat every child with kindness and make sure parents feel confident and comfortable while their kids are with me. I look forward to helping families by providing safe, fun, and dependable care!

I have 3+ years working in childcare. I currently work at a Daycare in Marina bay and a swim school in Brookline. It’s starting to get chilly so I’m looking for a better adjustment. It’s my senior year of high school and I’m trying to rack up on money for college.

Hi! My name is Makiya, and I truly enjoy working with kids. I come from a big family with 9 siblings, and as the second oldest, I’ve had plenty of hands-on experience caring for children of all ages. Growing up in such a busy household taught me patience, responsibility, and how to connect with kids in a kind and fun way. I graduated at the top of my high school class and am now in college, majoring in Dental Hygiene. Along with my studies, babysitting is something I love because it gives me the chance to support families while making sure their children feel safe, happy, and engaged. I also have a sweet mini golden doodle at home, so I’m very comfortable around pets. Plus, I have my own reliable car, which makes transportation easy if your family ever needs help with drop-offs, pick-ups, or running errands. I’m dependable, caring, and always willing to go the extra mile to support your family’s needs—whether that’s helping with homework, keeping up with routines, or just spending quality time with your kids.

My 'Prime Objective' as a Caregiver is nurturing a sense of wonder and curiosity in preschoolers -- and imagination plus reality-based competencies in the over-5s. (While keeping them safe and cared for, of course!) And I really prefer to avoid electronic screens for children! That's why I love to read with children. And bring intriguing books from my collection from classic to modern... Plus I'm always up for outdoor fun! And getting down on the floor and building things. Over years, I've put together a big wooden train collection with a SUITCASE full of tracks, specialty pieces like bridges, tunnels, ramps and connectors, with several battery powered remote controllable locomotives. Children 3-9 can literally spend enthralled HOURS assembling their own creative layouts then running trains. (While naturally enhancing their spatial intelligence, collaboration skills and 'stick-to-it-ness'...) Other options: a set of colorful wood blocks; tea sets (covert etiquette lessons and cookie baking!); princess and knight costumes for feeling special and dress-up play; Nerfball shooters (with eye protection!). An old-fashioned portable record player with classic vintage story records. Art supplies, an easel, squirt guns and sprinkler... For several years, I worked as a private-duty CNA and in-home Caregiver for elderly and disabled people. This type of upscale agency work requires immaculate background checks, excellent health, clean drug tests, reliability and being on time, as well as cheerfulness, compassion and competence. Now, I'm semi-retired, active and healthy, and LOVE interacting with children. In high school, I babysat for most of the kids in our neighborhood, was a paid Girl Scout Day Camp Counselor with full charge of eight 9 year old girls, had Red Cross Lifesaver Swimming Certification, and taught horseback riding. Have First Aid and CPR Certificates and recent college Certificate In Child Development. Have experience with autistic and medically fragile children. A recent review, from an ER nurse: "Just wanted to say thank you again for the great care that Sue gave the boys yesterday. She's so patient and amazing and I like the fact that she's mature and is a grandparent herself. She brought her own books and toys and the boys just had a blast with her. I would highly recommend her to anyone seeking care, she definitely is an asset..." Allison RN 💚Miss Sue
