Rosalie D., Babysitter in Coram, NY 11727 with 20 years of paid experience

Hello Families, I've had great experiences during my 20 years in private childcare settings caring for children newborn to 6 years old. Was a lead infant and lead toddler teacher as well for 4 years. I truly love being around kids and the fact that they allow me to enjoy the day and have fun. I try to incorporate learning experiences into everything that I do with them (counting number of food items/toys we are playing with, saying the color of items being used/seen, reading the signs we see along our walks and such). I incorporate the kids' interests in the daily activities to keep them entertained while learning. I enjoy seeing/teaching a child something new. I incorporated sign language into my infant class (during my time as a nanny as well) to allow them to talk before they have developed their speech skills. To help encourage them to reach their important early milestones, for the young ones, I do: tummy time; reading; lots of music -sing/play along; sensory toys; mirror play; help with hand-eye coordination and such. I love music and doing arts and crafts, especially for the holidays. I enjoy the outdoors and going for walks, the beach, parks, zoos (Ecology Center is the best) and making use of the local library or even pet/local stores (when the weather keeps us indoors). I have no problem speaking about care for your pets as well while I'm there. I'm a big animal lover, I have 2 rescues -a dog and a reptile. I would like to also mention that I held a CNA (Certified Nurse Assistant) for several years. The experience of working in a hospital/nursing homes along with CPR/AED certification has allowed me to be fully prepared for emergencies. I held my NYS Teaching Assistant Certification (K-12) as well. I have had background screenings done with the most recent in 2024. I feel that I am pretty flexible and I like to be up front and look for that in the family I work with. I feel open communication is a good quality for both sides to help things run smoothly. I have enjoyed becoming a part of the family, in the past, and I am hoping to find that again. I have letters of recommendation from families I worked for other than what is listed on my profile. I will give contact information when it's needed Thank you for your interest in me and I wish you luck in finding the right person for your family

Nina N., Babysitter in Coram, NY 11727 with 6 years of paid experience

Hi, my name is Nina! First off, thank you for looking at my profile and taking my candidacy into consideration. It is truly a pleasure. Let me tell you a bit about myself! I am 21, studied at Stony Brook University, have taken child and human development classes in high school, have 6 years of experience, especially with disabled kids as a tutor through my high school. I have experience with changing diapers, feedings, sleep routines, helping with homework, housework, and meal prep, pick ups, drop offs. I am willing to provide references, proof of valid license and am willing to do a background check. I have experience handling kids and elders with mobility and verbal disabilities along with sensory issues or uncontrollable tempers as well as autism, ADHD, and more. I am currently learning sign language and arabic, while being fluent in English and Spanish. I have several little cousins and they are just a joy to be around. I have a very strong love for kids and see myself in them. I am very patient, understanding, talkative, fast learner, respectful, energetic, nurturing and bubbly, perfect to match the energy of hyper little ones. I have a broad variety of interests such as baking, cooking, sailing, swimming, volleyball, reading, acting, singing, and dancing. I have had certified CPR training through my school and can handle many emergencies. I have past experiences volunteering at animal shelters and the Atlantic Marine Conversation Society with sea turtles. I have a big passion for animals as I once wanted to be a vet, I have experience with cats, dogs, birds, fish and some other exotic pets as a past marine science major. Worked with Project Sunshine at Stony brook, a nonprofit organization that provides free educational and social programs to children and families living with medical challenges at Stony Brook University Hospital and hospitals around the world. I would love to meet everyone and am open to anything, late nights or early mornings, even emergencies. I am your go to girl! I am currently looking for full time, but am willing to do part time. $23-30 range per hour, but preferably starting at $25. I am hoping to learn schedules and create a comfortable and enjoyable experience/memories with each family and any pets.
