I have been babysitting for about six years now, with an additional year’s experience as a certified childcare worker at a group home and over a year as a youth support specialist. I previously worked as an assistant childcare director prior to my current work in human services. I have completed numerous trainings regarding proper child care, such as strength-based perspectives, trauma informed care, and social and emotional development in early childhood. I have worked with kids of all ages, toddlers to teens, and I have additional experience with babies. Working with those kids allowed me to grow and mature into a compassionate, responsible, patient, and understanding individual. It also allowed for me to gain some experience working with children diagnosed with ASD and ADHD. I am CPR and First Aid certified through the Red Cross. I would love to get a chance to work with your family!

I’ve been working with kids for as long as I can remember. Growing up, I helped my sisters babysit from a young age and eventually began caring for families on my own. I also have experience with infants, having regularly cared for my sister’s 6-month-old for extended periods of time. In high school, I was a teacher’s assistant in a special education classroom, which gave me valuable experience working with children of all abilities. Outside of school, I taught swim lessons, worked as a tennis camp instructor, and helped manage groups of kids backstage during recitals at my dance studio. Over the years, I became the go-to babysitter in my community, always ready to lend a hand when families needed help. I am currently a student at Syracuse University and will be home for the summer. I’m CPR certified, very energetic, and reliable, with a strong passion for creating a safe, fun, and supportive environment for kids of all ages. I’m available on weekdays after work from 4 p.m. to whenever needed and anytime on weekends. I would love the opportunity to bring my experience, enthusiasm, and care to your family this summer!

Hi, my name is Mia, and I have over five years of experience working with children in various settings. I’ve worked at an elementary school’s aftercare program for three years, where I helped with homework, managed activities, and maintained a positive classroom environment. I’ve also been a babysitter for the past five years, taking on responsibilities like driving kids to activities, preparing meals, and handling light housekeeping. In high school, I gained specialized experience working in the special needs program, supporting both elementary-aged children and adults up to 22 years old. I’m certified in AED, CPR, and babysitting through the Red Cross, so safety is always a top priority. I love creating engaging activities for kids and building strong relationships with the families I work with. I’m excited about the opportunity to bring my skills, experience, and enthusiasm to your family

Hello there! My name is Kayla, I am 25 years old, and I have been passionate about working with children from a very early age. I have been babysitting since I was 13 years old, and when I became a junior in high school, I enrolled in a two-year Early Childhood Education program at my high school's tech center in Burlington, VT, where I graduated with honors in 2014. During my time in this unique program, I learned all about childhood cognitive development and lesson planning for children ages 3-5, and operated as an assistant teacher in our on-site preschool! This was my absolute favorite part of my high school curriculum, and I am so grateful to have had this opportunity to learn and grow as a caregiver. After high school I decided to pursue another passion of mine, which is environmental justice and policy. I studied at the University of Vermont and graduated in 2018. After a couple more years of restaurant jobs and regular babysitting, I had saved up enough money to finally move out of my hometown. I moved to Syracuse initially, and then in the Fall of 2020 I followed my "bucket list" dream to live in New York City. In Brooklyn I began working for Trailblazers, which was originally an after-school/summer camp for children K-5, but with COVID it had adapted to a year round supplementary program for children learning virtually. I was a Group Leader (or "pod" leader) first for a group of 6 first graders, and then a group of 4 kindergarteners. I worked in a classroom setting with the larger group, and a home setting with the smaller group. We followed all COVID protocols as I supported them with their virtual learning, facilitated lunch time, lead educational activities, and took them to play at the park as time allowed. Since then I have relocated to the City of Syracuse, where I work full-time in an office setting. I am still eager to find opportunities to work with children and families on a sporadic basis! If you feel that we may be a good fit for each other, please don't hesitate to reach out! I am also happy to provide direct references from babysitting experience. Thanks for taking the time to learn a bit about me; I look forward to getting to know you & your family!

Hi! My name is Jule, and I’m a dependable and caring babysitter with a strong background in child care and health. I currently work as a Newborn Hearing Screening Technician and am studying Health Studies on a Pre-Nursing track, so caring for others — especially little ones — is truly my passion. I’m CPR and First Aid certified for infants, children, and adults, and I have experience working at an indoor children’s playground, where I helped create a fun and safe space for kids of all ages. I also have experience with children who have special needs and have completed college courses focused on disabilities and inclusive care, which has helped me learn patience, empathy, and effective communication strategies. I’m open to something consistent that fits both your family’s needs and my schedule. I’m also flexible with availability and can usually make something work even if it’s outside my listed times. I’d love to bring my patience, responsibility, and positive energy to your family!

I have been a teacher for 8 years. I have a Master's in Bilingual Childhood (1st - 6th grade) Education. I have always loved working with children, and started babysitting at the age of 9. Since then, I have cared for a variety of children ranging from 5 months old - 10 years old. In the past, I've organized children's schedules, transportation, and activities, both planning various outings and incorporating classes and camps into the weekly schedule. I have also prepared daily meals as well as assisted with various household chores. I have also aided with summer workbooks, reading, and other activities to help keep up the children's education over the summer. I have spent most of my teaching career in 1st grade classrooms. I have nannied for infants and twins before. I love incorporating the things I have done in classroom settings with the time I spend with the children, sparking their imaginations and helping them grow.
