I am a Special Education teacher at a local elementary school. Prior to teaching, I spent over 6 years working as a professional nanny, house manager, and newborn overnight care provider. I also have over 3 years experience as a substitute teacher in both private and public schools, as well as an assistant teacher in infant and toddler daycare classrooms. I hold an A.A.S. in Early Childhood Development with certifications in Early Childhood Development and Early Childhood Education, along with a B.S. in Interdisciplinary Studies with minors in Education and Recreation & Wellness. I will be beginning my Master’s degree at UNCW this fall. I am CPR, First Aid, AED, and Water Safety certified, with extensive experience in allergy safety and EpiPen administration. I have extensive experience caring for children from newborns through school age and love creating engaging, play-based experiences that support appropriate development, milestones and preschool readiness. Hi! I’m Freedom Rock, I’m the oldest of ten siblings so that by itself entails a lot of babysitting experience! I have been babysitting professionally for around three years and even worked at a daycare for children with special needs. I absolutely adore children and am currently on my way to becoming an elementary school teacher! I am also available for pet sitting and house sitting! I am a stay at home Mom with a 16 month old girl, I’ve have over 10 years of experience of childcare services; before becoming a stay at home mom I did work for the state of Virginia and for the county of Hanover. I love working with kids they are the easiest people to be around. Due to my work for the state I was certified through the Red Cross for first aid and CPR from newborns to adults.
