I am a Special Education teacher at a local elementary school. Prior to teaching, I spent over 6 years working as a professional nanny, house manager, and newborn overnight care provider. I also have over 3 years experience as a substitute teacher in both private and public schools, as well as an assistant teacher in infant and toddler daycare classrooms. I hold an A.A.S. in Early Childhood Development with certifications in Early Childhood Development and Early Childhood Education, along with a B.S. in Interdisciplinary Studies with minors in Education and Recreation & Wellness. I will be beginning my Master’s degree at UNCW this fall. I am CPR, First Aid, AED, and Water Safety certified, with extensive experience in allergy safety and EpiPen administration. Hi! I’m Kristina. I’m a Licensed Massage Therapist and mom to two great kids. I’m looking for a part time job as a sitter or nanny. I’ve always loved caring for and teaching children. I grew up as the oldest in a big family, and babysat from the age of 11. I was a nanny for several wonderful families for years before having my own children. I’ve worked with infants and up, including a set of triplets! Once I had my own kids, I chose to homeschool them through elementary school, so I have quite a bit of educational experience. I believe that play is the best way for infants and young children to learn. I love encouraging reading, active, and imaginative play. Now that my kids are in middle school, I’m looking for a part time nanny job in addition to my work as a massage therapist. I miss childcare and especially miss working with infants and young kids.

I have five younger siblings plus two bonus kids that I assisted my mother with. I have eight years of experience planning/cooking meals, doing household clean-ups, and volunteering with two special needs children. I nannied a young girl including cooking and cleaning for over 24 hour periods while her first responder parents worked long shifts. Most recently, I spent three months in Uganda tutoring, teaching English, cooking for up to 40 people, and doing household laundry and dishes for the missionaries and their seven children between the ages of 12 and 15.

I am a kindergarten teacher in Hanover County and enjoy spending my summers and weekends babysitting. I have worked with children as far back as I can remember starting with helping in the church nursery to spending most every summer being a Nanny. I still love babysitting whenever I am able. My hope during the school year is to find a family I can work with on a regular schedule whether that's every other weekend or one weekend a month to help give parents a date night or just time to get things done. I am a very active person who loves keeping kids busy having fun, playing games, getting outside, and am open to preparing and cooking meals as well. I became a caregiver because I have always had a love for helping others.
