I am a Special Education teacher at a local elementary school. Prior to teaching, I spent over 6 years working as a professional nanny, house manager, and newborn overnight care provider. I also have over 3 years experience as a substitute teacher in both private and public schools, as well as an assistant teacher in infant and toddler daycare classrooms. I hold an A.A.S. in Early Childhood Development with certifications in Early Childhood Development and Early Childhood Education, along with a B.S. in Interdisciplinary Studies with minors in Education and Recreation & Wellness. I will be beginning my Master’s degree at UNCW this fall. I am CPR, First Aid, AED, and Water Safety certified, with extensive experience in allergy safety and EpiPen administration. I became a caregiver because I have always had a love for helping others. Through babysitting I love to come up with fun activities to do with the children and watch their imaginations run wild while creating fun and new games. I have been watching children of all ages for the past 5 years and I have made many wonderful connections with the parents and children.
