Hi there! My name is Mickey I am 21 years old I am located in Dyke (just north of Cville!) I use She/Her pronouns and I'm a babysitter/nanny looking to expand my work experience and make some money to support my family. I'm studying to be a preschool teacher at PVCC. I am a part time floater teacher at a childcare center in Charlottesville. I have worked with infants - middle school aged children. I love being fun and I enjoy being an active playmate while maintaining a safe environment when babysitting. In my free time I enjoy video games, cooking, baking, gardening, and creative writing. I have experience being a nanny/babysitter since December 2022 and have been working in childcare centers since October 2023. I love to learn and grow with each babysitting/nanny opportunity that I get. I typically will bring activities to do with the children but if parents have other activities in mind or suggestions I would love to know! My first experience in childcare was as camp counselor for kids ages kindergarten through rising 4th grade . I helped make the meals for the campers and I was responsible for leading group meetings and group activities with them including taking them to the pool. I loved being a camp counselor so much I began to babysit for numerous families and I have copies of recommendation letters to give if needed. I began working as a preschool teacher aid in april of 2015 and began as a lead teacher in october of 2015. Since then I have moved on to becoming a private nanny to three amazing children while working part time as a teacher's aide at Old Dominion, I have also become cpr certified and have experience in caring for higher number of children at one time which has equipped me with the ability to think fast on my feet.
