Before entering nursing, I spent 12 wonderful years as a dedicated nanny for two families, caring for their children from infancy through their school years. Those years were incredibly meaningful to me and shaped my lasting love for working with children. I’m also happy to share that I am now a grandmother to a wonderful little boy! My first experience in childcare was as camp counselor for kids ages kindergarten through rising 4th grade . I helped make the meals for the campers and I was responsible for leading group meetings and group activities with them including taking them to the pool. I loved being a camp counselor so much I began to babysit for numerous families and I have copies of recommendation letters to give if needed. I began working as a preschool teacher aid in april of 2015 and began as a lead teacher in october of 2015. Since then I have moved on to becoming a private nanny to three amazing children while working part time as a teacher's aide at Old Dominion, I have also become cpr certified and have experience in caring for higher number of children at one time which has equipped me with the ability to think fast on my feet. I love working with children because I am a kid at heart and its fun to see their imaginations at work. Plus my favorite babysitting activities are reading,baking,and cooking.
