I have the Education Paraprofessional degree, trainings related to Early Childhood Education, current CPR/AED card, and I know sign language. I have many years of experience caregiving for infants and children in homes and childcare centers. I also have worked as a para educator in public schools assisting students in special education and general education classes. I would be very happy taking care of infants and children in homes.

I love working with children, and this is reflected by my work history. I have spent sunmers working at two different summer camps and managed groups of 15-30 elementary-aged children (ages 5-11) at a time. I have also worked in three different classes as a student teacher, working with 2nd, 3rd, and 6th grade students. I am currently a student at Northeastern University, in Boston, MA, studying Psychology and Data Science. From my experience, I have learned that it is of the upmost importance that children have access to supportive, understanding adults, and I know that my education and experience has prepared me to be that for your children.

I’m used to handling things like meals, bedtime routines, playtime, and helping with homework. What skills and training do you have? I’m responsible, patient, and good at communicating with both kids and parents. I can keep kids entertained with activities while also making sure they follow routines. I also understand basic safety and how to handle emergencies. I can cook simple meals and I have a driver’s license.

I recently moved to Bellingham from Seattle. I have many years of experience, been a babysitter for 9 years. I have worked at a preschool as a Spanish Teacher in the past. I was also a bike instructor for a summer, teaching kids from ages 3- 10. I have worked at daycares, taking care of infants too! I love babysitting, it’s THE best job ever!

Hey! I'm Brynn:) A little bit about me: I'm currently a sophomore at Western Washington University where I'm developing an interdisciplinary major that combines Neuroscience (particularly fear sciences), messaging, and comparative cultural studies. Prior to moving out west I lived in Norway and went to Voss Folk School where I 'studied' backcountry skiing and analog photography. In my free time I love to be outdoors either taking the time to slow down or get my heart racing. In addition to being outside I love to work with my hands crafting. I love to try new things and would consider myself a jack of all trades. Childcare experience: Throughout high school I nannied for two families (Nevilles: 3 girls and two boys ranging 4-12 years old + Dientenbergers: 2 boys and one girl ranging 2-10 years old). I grew up on the same block as both of these families and have a lot of love for them. Watching them grow has been a pleasure and I still get together with them every time I'm back home. My work for these families varied over the years, but generally I'd watch them after school and late on weekends helping them with homework, going on adventures, crafting and doing household chores. For the past 3 summers I've worked at Camp du Nord, a family camp near the Boundary Water Canoe Area. My first two years working at du Nord I was on program staff. Each week on program staff I was assigned an age group ranging from 0-14 years old that I would look after in the morning. In the afternoons I would lead activities (such as paddling 101, soccer, beading etc) for kids and adults. This year I took on a lead position in the garden. In the mornings I'd have age groups and adults come into the garden and tell them about what I was growing, different agricultural techniques, fun facts and practical uses for plants. In the afternoons I'd lead classes such as pickling, making plant dyes, and tea foraging hikes. I love working with kids and feel I can learn a lot from them. I find their curiosity and enthusiasm eye opening and hope to preserve a positive view of our world. I understand how receptive and malleable young minds are and hope that in every interaction I can facilitate their development. I'm all about having fun, but also know how to take control and assert myself when needed.

I'm CPR + First Aid certified and have experience with children of all ages, particularly toddlers and elementary school age children. I am offering child care and household services. I am not currently in any kind of schooling, but I do have my GED. I love being a babysitter and have been watching infants, toddlers, and kids since I was 12 years old.
