My boys played soccer since they were 3 years old, t-ball, baseball, basketball, track & field and football. I was a really active parent. I was Vice President of the PTA, VP of Membership, Chairperson of Family Fun nights and an Art Docent for their classrooms for two years. I also participated in booster clubs to raise money for the sports. I enjoy walking, bike riding, easy/moderate hiking (nothing too crazy!). I belong to the YMCA where I take Zumba, cycling, a weight class, yoga, pilates and cardio/weights. I just recently bought a guitar and I plan on taking lessons. I am very close to my 3 sons so I enjoy doing various things with them. In addition, I have a 13 year old dog, who thinks he's a puppy! I am located in Seattle and can conveniently get to anywhere close by, such as Capitol Hill, but also have a car and can travel farther (Bothell, Redmond, etc.) if needed. I love kids and hope to become a pediatrician one day! To me, working with children is incredibly fun and exciting—I love to engage their curiosity and sense of play as a babysitter and help them learn how to be respectful and kind as peers at the same time. I have experience working with kids of all ages, particularly between infants to around 11 years old. I am a child care teacher, nanny, and now mom to a 16 year old. I work as a school district ECE teacher Sept-June and am doing some Weekend care for extra money. For a number of years I was a nanny in exchange for rent and did after hours care and evening and weekend routines with children 1 years old to age 10, including helping with chores and school work and getting them ready for bed.
