I attended school at the University of Washington where I obtained my Master's in Teaching in 2020. I've been working with kids for 10 years and have babysat for the past 5 years. I've cared for many families, mostly in date night roles, with kids aged 1 and up. In addition to date nights, I've also helped with weekends/overnights, after school, and full-time babysitting in the summer. Working with kids is something I enjoy doing and is the reason I became a teacher and a coach. I like to spend the time interacting and engaging with the kids. My boys played soccer since they were 3 years old, t-ball, baseball, basketball, track & field and football. I was a really active parent. I was Vice President of the PTA, VP of Membership, Chairperson of Family Fun nights and an Art Docent for their classrooms for two years. I also participated in booster clubs to raise money for the sports. I enjoy walking, bike riding, easy/moderate hiking (nothing too crazy!). I belong to the YMCA where I take Zumba, cycling, a weight class, yoga, pilates and cardio/weights. I just recently bought a guitar and I plan on taking lessons. I am very close to my 3 sons so I enjoy doing various things with them. In addition, I have a 13 year old dog, who thinks he's a puppy! Hello! My name is Maya and I currently live in Bellevue. I’m originally from Honolulu, Hawaii but I moved to Washington in 2020 for school, and I graduated from UW in 2024 with my B.S in speech and hearing sciences!
