Part-time sitter for pickup, drop-off and homework (Hudson Yards area). Duties:
-Previous experience working with school-aged children
- Must have credible references; apply with resume
-Safety first! Comfortable navigating subway, buses and walking busy streets
-Oversight of daily homework to ensure good quality work for grades 4&6 (~1-2 hrs a day). Able to work with a child with reading comprehension difficulties (vocab, critical ideas) so need to break down into small manageable tasks to help with focus and retention
- Excel at Science, Math, ELA, History. This is a fast-paced school so need to be comfortable using and navigating technology to ensure homework is completed
-Must enjoy engaging with children and have a strong ability to put away your smartphone while working (no texting, facetiming, socials while children)
