I am a warm, thoughtful, life-long educator with an extensive background in raising children. I love to sing, play, cook, and travel. Kids of all ages fill my days with joy, energy, curiosity, honesty, and creative problem solving. Through caring for children I have learned that we all need the same things- to be heard, to be seen, to be valued, and to be loved. There is nothing more rewarding than being able to practice patience and kindness when it is needed the most. And it is so fun to teach kids new things and see the joy of discovery light up their face. My own two wonderful sons have just graduated from college and I am ready to help another family thrive. I am background checked, cpr certified and a very safe driver.

I have babysat for many families over the years - for kids of all ages. I absolutely adore taking care of kids and being able to provide them with a nurturing, interactive, safe yet fun environment. My experience ranges from caring for infants and youths to caring for autistic children to caring for multiple kids at once - like a family with a 4, 3, 2 and 1-year-old, for example. I first became a nanny while studying at UCLA back in 2012 and helped raise a wonderful two-year-old girl in Bel Air. For the next three and half years, I helped raise her - 5 days a week. Every single day we engaged in interactive and imaginative play, explored outside and worked on growing her overall knowledge of the world. I also worked at introducing various basic concepts like kindness, respect and original thinking. For me, every moment with a child is an opportunity to help expand their minds and grow as an individual. Post-UCLA and after another year of nannying, I left California to serve in the Peace Corps as an Education Volunteer in Burkina Faso, West Africa where I taught preschool in a rural village to over sixty-six children. After returning from the Peace Corps, I found myself back in LA where I started to teach again at a private preschool in West LA. It was a wonderful opportunity where I could design creative, engaging and play-based lessons for my young students. I worked there for about two years until I started grad school to study ethnobotany right before the pandemic hit. For the past nine years, I've been living down in SoCal and my most recent recurring caretaking role was last year as a part-time nanny for a sweet one-year-old girl (I was also working at a holistic wellness studio at the time) and I took care of her three days a week. In addition to making sure she was well-taken care, I helped out with housework such as cooking, cleaning/tidying, organizing, laundry and more. I'm more than happy to do anything needed to make life easier for a family since I understand how hard it can be to balance everything. To my sadness, they moved to Greece last June to be with family which actually worked out because my own family needed help on our farm in the Central Valley so I moved up north for the time being. While I do not have any of my own children yet, I absolutely love spending time with kids and truly enjoy encouraging them to embrace life to the fullest. To make a child smile and feel valued is one of my greatest joys in life.

I have 4 years of experienced training with kids. I worked at the YMCA caring for many children of all different ages. I have also babysat/nannied for a couple of families and weddings in Sonoma County. I have created so many great connections throughout the years. I truly enjoy spending time with the little ones. I would describe myself as sweet and bubbly. Some strong attributes I have are being patient but most importantly being responsible as well. I make it my job to take babysitting seriously. I communicate when needed and I also make sure that everyone is happy with the job that I do.

Looking to connect with families in the community and assist with last minute childcare, pet sitting, housekeeping and caregiving needs! Some background: - I’ve worked as a summer camp counselor for k-12 schools for 3 years, often independently responsible for 30+ children ages 5-12. - During college, I worked at a health resort and gym where I was a full-time employee in the gym’s child care center. There I worked with toddlers and infants (ages 2 weeks- 3 years) as a care coordinator in the infant room. (This was my favorite job I’ve EVER had.) - I am a genuine lover of all animals. Even the scaliest or most mischievous pets will be offered my love (at a respectful distance, of course.) If I’m caring for children over 5, the kids can expect to: - Have “art class” - Walks through the park - Dance Parties - Swimming - Scavenger hunts - Baking classes - Practice mindfulness -Help with school work Older children activities: -Bowling - Movie Nights - Play games outdoors and indoors - Help with schoolwork. If you’re in need of a last minute babysitter, pet sitter or housekeeper, I’m your girl! I am CPR certified and a licensed driver with a reliable vehicle. If you have any questions about my experience or qualifications please reach out and we can set up a time to chat.
