Hello, I am from New York and moved to Florida a year and a half ago. I am a retired Nursery School Director. My love of children started when I began babysitting when I was 12 years old. I continued babysitting until I graduated college. I was an elementary school teacher for six years. I left teaching to be a stay at home mom and raised two boys. When my sons were teenagers, I returned to education part time and was a two year old head teacher at a church nursery school. I loved the children, the program, the other teachers, and I had a special connection with the parents. I did that for five years. I unfortunately had to leave the school to work and help my husband in his office. A few years later I was asked if I would be the director of the school. Since it was a morning program, I was able to work at the school and at the office . I held that position until I retired. I am still friendly with my staff and some of my former parents and students. At this point in my life, I would like to babysit part time. I love kids, pets, and pickle ball!

Hi, My name is Kim.  I have wonderful kids that are 21 and 18 and they are very independent. I have many other bonus children that I’ve spent time with on the basketball court, on the football field, or at Marching Band or Girl Scout events. I have a warm and nurturing personality. I’m able to draw on my many years of child rearing experience when when a toddler is teething, or if a child needs re-direction or just listen and support when they are struggling. Before COVID-19 hit, I was doing vacation babysitting/nannying/mother's helper duties for families that visit Sanibel. I also work part time as a Caregiver for a 78 year old stroke survivor. I will be a FT student this fall, and will transfer to FGCU this summer to work towards my BA in Special Education. Several families use my support when they come to town at holidays or their regular vacation to Florida.  Other families get my number from the concierge at the resort they are staying at while in Florida.   I've babysat at weddings, receptions, and hotel rooms. I'm well versed in being an extra pair of eyes and ears at the beach. It's so important for parents to get alone time to relax and recharge. I’m certified in CPR and First Aid. I’ve been a volunteer for the School District for the past 5 years. Hi, I am retired but devoted my life to education and children grades PK-12th. I owned and operated a school for 11 years and it was ranked as an incredible example in our industry magazine. My mission statement was to teach life skills through athletics. I love kids and being with them in figuring out for themselves how to make the good choice and be true to themselves. I live just playing and celebrating them and their unique gifts, or discovering that. I have 2 Masters Degrees in education, one in counseling and one in teaching.
