As a teen ager I always enjoyed babysitting neighboring children after school and during the summers. I now have 3 grown children in their 20's. When they were in school I enjoyed participating in their many activities including Girl and Boy Scouts. I also voluntered in their religious program. For many years when my kids were younger I used to care for a few children after school and assist with their homework. I have experience working with special needs children and am very patient and caring. I have worked in a school with special needs children for 5 years. I also have two nephews with autism in which I watch occasionally. For the past year I have worked as a senior Caregiver in the Sarasota area and have gained a lot of experience. Hi. I have been babysitting for over 20 years. I began sitting when I was 13 and have been doing so ever since, when available. My friends always call me first when they need child care. I thoroughly enjoy spending time with kids and would do that 24 hours a day if I could. I love engaging in educational activities with children such as reading, writing, museums, etc. I think children are like sponges; absorbing all the information around them & therefore it becomes important to surround them with information so that they may grow up with a foundation on which to build.
