I started babysitting at 13, to Nannying, to Daycare (Infant room to Site Director), to Substitute Teaching (all grades), to the State of MO in Social Services as a Foster Care Worker & CA/N Hotline Investigator, to my last professional role as a Unit, House 6, Supervisor at a Therapeutic Residential Treatment Facility. 9 years ago, at 46, I took an early retirement to live out some dreams, one of which was to motorcycle the continental US, Canada & Mexico. About a year ago I decided to return to work in Childcare again at 52. I'm currently working M-F, 8-5 as both a Lead Pre-K Teacher (school year) & Lead School-Aged Summer Camp Counselor (Summers). I'm currently FT. Honestly, being a Nanny again would suit my lifestyle better at this time in a more personalized, relaxed, home setting focusing on all aspects of fostering child development. Being a Babysitter & Nanny for families were some of the best experiences I've ever had. I've Babysat & Nannied for all ages (infant to 14), cultures & genders, from 1-5 children. Most of the families I've worked for were 1-3 children. I love my current position as a Pre-K Teacher/Summer Camp Counselor, though I'm always willing to help out parents some eves & weekends who need a quality Babysitter. It's a good break from the classroom setting. I babysit and I also work at the Jewish community center I take care of the kids while their parents drop them off and sign the kids in and I play with them making sure they feel comfortable and safe while they're at the kid zone having a good time enjoying themselves also I am a Kid Zone teacher. However, I do answer the phone calls write down reservations times for the children to come in and answer questions. I have been a sitter for 10+ years! I love building bonds and relationships with kids. I’ma very sweet genuine person and kids are just so cool! I have baby sat all age & really enjoy watching kids. I’m a psychology major with a minor in child advocacy studies. I actually act to work with kids once i graduate next year! I have my associates degree , I am CPR certified and currently getting my RBT! I’m a new graduate from UMSL with a degree in psychology! I served as a Servant Leader Intern for the Children’s Defense Fund Freedom Schools, where I led literacy-based programs that aimed to empower and uplift children from underserved communities. With this roleni had to find and create creative activities to keep the children engaged and continuing to learn. That role reinforced my passion for equity in education and the importance of creating inclusive and safe learning environments for children to thrive. This role deepened my love and appreciation for kids even more than before. Though kids can be difficult at times, working with my kids for over 9 hours a day taught me how innocent, pure, and full of life kids are and I love not only being around that energy but helping to create happy memories and safe spaces for children to thrive in! I also taught private swim lessons for over three years to children aged 3+. I was a lifeguard for three years and was American Cross Certified in First Aid and CPR training!

As a proud mother of 4 young adult children, I have lots of experience.  I've always enjoyed working with children.  As a teenager was a assistant in Sunday School.  I started baby sitting at 13 for friends of my parents.  I was always my mother's little helper and helped her with my youngest brother.  Being blessed with 4 children of my own has brought some of the happiest days of my life. I have worked in private homes for over 15 years.  I attended Starkey International in Denver, CO. where I was Certified as a Household Manager.  Some of my duties have included managing large homes, sustaining busy family schedules, Overseeing the day-to-day general operations of the home, Cleaning, organizing, overseeing projects & vendors, running errands, shopping, stocking pantry, Planning weekly menus, preparing family meals, laundry, ironing, taking care of pets and scheduling vet appointments, Taking care of children of all ages. Chauffeuring children to & from school & other activities. Making travel arrangements, along with packing & unpacking. Organizing large scale events,  Arranging clients moves to their new homes, Organizing for Special events, Christmas Decorating, “scheduling help for putting Christmas lights up”, House sitting. Working as a Household Manager I bring a warm, honest, kind, loyal, trustworthy sincere demeanor.  I bring passion, accountability, understanding, honestly and heartfelt enthusiasm to my work.  I am a team player, always willing to listen and learn.  And go the extra mile. I am currently working remotely at a national nonprofit with families that do not have local emotional nor practical support. Prior to this I worked as the Program Director at a nonprofit again supporting women and families with practical resources and emotional support, and before that I was working in technology at one of the largest youth-focused non-profits in NYC. I have many years (about twenty) of childcare experience and lifelong experience babysitting for family (as mine is quite large - especially with the recent addition of my own little one) and have worked with all age ranges from infant - teens.  I love working with children, have always been around them, and enjoy being a small part of a child's development be it in an educational, familial, or recreational setting.  I am very respectful of each individual family's values and rules while making sure to always reinforce that need for mutual respect.  I speak English, Spanish, and some French and have worked with families as a nanny and babysitter (besides my jobs noted above), in a school and daycare center, and have also been a swim and karate instructor and coach.
