Innate love, compassion and patience in caregiving has taught me to teach & guide children in a gentle way. I was an attachment parent (baby wearing, bonded, close contact) with all four of my own children. I allow the child take the lead for creativity and exploration of their environment, with appropriate boundaries for safety and rules of the home. Respect, communication and understanding are very important to me in caregiver- parent dynamic, as well as with the children. I am available as an interim caregiver from 6/15/25 through 7/5/25. I am available full time including weekends . After 7/5/25, I am available Monday, Friday and weekends, hours as needed. I want your children to be as comfortable as possible with me while you are gone. I prefer to meet in person once before beginning babysitting. Because I have worked in day care facilities, I have my fingerprints on file for background checks in the state of Illinois (Crestwood location). I also have a background check on file. In my experience, I have worked in three day care facilities, mainly infant and toddler rooms, from 1998 until 2003 and again short term in 2017. I also did some short-term nannying for three families during my college years. After college, I taught a 4-year-old preschool class at Kindercare Learning Center, from 2003 to 2005. When my son was born, in May of 2005, I started to nanny full time. Since then, I have worked as a nanny, as a home daycare provider and babysitting, for 19 different families to present day.

Always loved children since I was a child. Starting teaching preschool at my church at age 18. I have done so many types of volunteer work (with my children being involved as well), but the most rewarding has always been with helping children. They are our future and I believe parenting is not only the most important job we can have, but also the best and definitely the most rewarding. I studied Elementary Education in college years ago, but have always had the natural instinct to teach, especially while playing. I sure would love an opportunity to make a difference in other angel's lives.

I recently graduated with my bachelors degree in psychology at governors state university, and I am furthering my education to receive a masters degree in social work. Hi, I love working with children and helping them learn how to be independent as well as be able to ask for help when needed. Working in ABA, with developmentally disabled children as a Behavior Technician, has allowed me to learn how to be more conscious of the verbal and nonverbal cues children display to express their needs and wants. When working with kids, outside of meeting their basic needs, I strive to promote functional play with others, and to be another trusted adult they feel comfortable to fully be themselves.
