Thank you for viewing my profile.. I am Lindsay, a college graduate, divorced, mother of four. Caring for children has always come natural to me. Innate love, compassion and patience in caregiving has taught me to teach & guide children in a gentle way. I was an attachment parent (baby wearing, bonded, close contact) with all four of my own children. I allow the child take the lead for creativity and exploration of their environment, with appropriate boundaries for safety and rules of the home. Respect, communication and understanding are very important to me in caregiver- parent dynamic, as well as with the children. I am available Monday, Friday and weekends, hours as needed. I want your children to be as comfortable as possible with me while you are gone. I prefer to meet in person once before beginning babysitting. Because I have worked in day care facilities, I have my fingerprints on file for background checks in the state of Illinois. I also have a background check on file. In my experience, I have worked in three day care facilities, mainly infant and toddler rooms, from 1998 until 2003 and again short term in 2017 and 2023. I also did some short-term nannying for three families during my college years. After college, I taught a 4-year-old preschool class at Kindercare Learning Center, from 2003 to 2005. When my son was born, in May of 2005, I started to nanny full time. Since then, I have worked as a nanny, as a home daycare provider and babysitting, for 21 different families to present day.

Always loved children since I was a child. Starting teaching preschool at my church at age 18.
