Hello! My name is Tyler and I'm in my mid-twenties. To be upfront and honest, I don't necessarily have *paid* child and pet care experience but I grew up with a decent sized family and plenty of pets. I am the oldest of 5 children, with the youngest child currently being 12 years old. My parents constantly worked when my siblings and I were younger so naturally, I was their free babysitter since the age of 9. This means I have cared for multiple children in all different stages of life at once for much of my life. And because of this, I feel I have developed a motherly and teacher-like nature since a young age. Even with my current job as a manager, a lot of my coworkers (who are younger than me) make comments about me being a "work parent." I am constantly teaching, directing, and giving advice to my "work children" not just because it's a part of my job but because I care for them and their growth as if they were my own. I hope that it can be seen that while I don't have professional/paid experience, my life experience can still be strong enough to speak for itself.

Hi there! I’m a child development and public advocacy major at Michigan Sate University with nearly 5 years of childcare experience. From 2016-2017 I worked as an intern and teacher aid for a kindergarten class room and from 2017-2019 I worked at an in home center. At first, I was hired as an assistant teacher but was promoted in my last year to assistant director. After a difficult goodbye in 2019, I then worked as a nanny for 2 boys ages 4 and 18 months until I eventually moved out of state from Michigan to Massachusetts at the end of 2019. Currently, I’m employed as a full time live in nanny for 2 amazing little girls— ages 6 and 3 full time. However, as the kiddos go back to school in September, I plan to move back to Michigan (or wherever opportunity takes me) with a family I fit into. Hi! I’m a college student going into my 3rd year studying to become a speech pathologist in schools. I love working with kids and making meaningful connections. In terms of experience I was a summer camp counselor for 2 years and now I do afterschool daycare for ages 4-7 and 8-10 during the school year. I’m CPR and First aid certified and I have plenty of experience facilitating fun activities. I’m super crafty, can cook, and can help with tutoring.
