Over the nearly 30 years that I have been a nanny (since graduating Smith College in 1996), I have specialized in the care of 0-3 years, starting with infants as young as 7 weeks old, but have experience with kids 0-16. I personally do not watch TV, so I find no need to have the children I care for watch either. Instead, I love to sing, listen to music, read books, go for walks, and do age/stage appropriate imaginative play with the kids, as well as constantly speaking in English and counting in various languages to aid in language development. I also enjoy cooking, making homemade purees for first foods on up to finger foods and hiding veggies to keep picky toddlers eating healthfully.
