I’m a stay at home mom of a toddler looking for extra money. We do homeschool, go to the zoo, OMSI, play places and park on a weekly basis. Would love for a kid or two to join us for some fun and learning.

17 years of safe, engaging, skill building fun facilitation; supplemented with homework help, tutoring, and academic support... While attending university, I began facilitating recreation therapy respite for families adjusted by developmental differences. I also continued with the YMCA, YWCA and local youth bureau; all while also living and serving with the local volunteer fire department. Upon graduation I accepted a couple roles as Program Director, but soon realized that front line work was my truest passion. Since my work as a Family Advocate, Wilderness Therapy Guide, Kids Ski Instructor, "Manny" (Nanny), Firefighter, Alpine Manager, Mountain Bike Coach, Lifeguard, and Summer Camp Director for multiple camps, I have gained and honed a diverse skill set. My experience provides families with a compassionate, professional, fun loving, supportive, flexible, and nurturing care giver. Whether you need a one time “babysitter” or a commitment over an extended period of time, I feel confident that I can provide the stimulating and/or structured environment, balanced and tailored for your little people to thrive. Philosophically, I believe in and promote autonomy and democracy; encouraging choice, individuality, compromise, and teamwork. Ex: I do not believe in asking one to apologize, but rather explaining to them the relational benefits of such actions, and providing them the opportunity. Currently, I spend a lot of time in the mountains, tackling personal objectives; so though my location may be elsewhere, I may be looking to work in an area close to your childcare needs.

David was an amazing temporary nanny for our family and a tremendous help while we searched for a full-time caregiver. He cared for our two children (ages 4 and 1.5) with so much patience and attentiveness, ensuring they felt safe, engaged, and happy. Not only did he include plenty of outdoor time for the kids to explore and play, but he also went above and beyond by doing science experiments and other educational activities with our older son. It was wonderful to see how much our son enjoyed science experiments with David! David was incredibly reliable, always arriving on time and keeping us updated throughout the day with pictures and notes. His calm demeanor, respectful attitude, and genuine connection with our children made him an excellent fit during this transitional time. We’re so grateful for the care and creativity he brought to our family and would highly recommend him to anyone and would gladly hire him again whenever he is in the Buffalo area.

Bringing joy and nurturing young minds is my passion. For the past four years, I've happily cared for children of all ages, from infants to pre-teens. My positive babysitting experiences inspired me to support families by providing reliable childcare. I am patient, creative, and friendly, and I enjoy playing outdoor sports, board games, and educational activities with children. I am CPR/AED and First Aid certified. I am comfortable caring for up to five children and enforcing household rules. I provide regular updates to parents through their preferred method, whether it's verbal communication or via text. I can assist with cooking, carpooling, light housekeeping, travel, crafts, and swimming supervision. I am a confident driver and LOVE pets! Ultimately, I strive to make a positive impact on each child's life, and I would love to bring my positive energy and vast experience to your family!

Hey there! My name is Ashlyn and I am a 24 year old full-time worker/student! I have 2 pets; shy of a 1.5yr old dog and an orange kitty! When i’m not working I am with my pets relaxing at home or visiting my parents across town. I am very bubbly and driven in all things i do! 😊 I thrive the most when I am busy and am looking for extra hours where I can get them, and care taking care of others is something I enjoy. I currently work full time with adults who have I/DD so my schedule is not the typical, but looking to get into the community more and earn side money to build my savings. I started babysitting around 15y, and it was frequently for a single mom of triplet daughters. These girls are the reason for my love for caring! I continued to babysit the girls from the age of 3 until they were about 11 for which I became their part-time nanny during covid. Ive babysat a good amount of other kiddos too! I have also taken care of special needs kiddos/adults, I can do hands on care, ADL support, hygiene care, support, being a babysitter, or a friend! Intros can get overwhelming, so please reach out for more questions about me or my experience and I’d love to connect with you!

Gentry J.

Hi! My name is Gentry, and I’ve been working with children for years in both nannying and education. I’m currently a first grade teacher in the Portland area and have been teaching for the past two years. Before becoming a teacher, I nannied children ranging from 2 months to 12 years old, which gave me experience with every stage from infant care to school-aged routines and activities. I would describe myself as gentle, patient, dependable, and kind. I truly love working with kids and creating a safe, positive environment where they feel cared for and encouraged to learn and explore. I prefer crafts, imaginative play, reading, and outdoor adventures over screen time whenever possible, and I’m very passionate about making childcare engaging and meaningful for each child. I understand how important it is to trust the person caring for your children, and I strive to make both kids and parents feel comfortable, supported, and cared for!
