Hi! I’m a full time student at SOU looking for a part time position as a babysitter/pet sitter! I have worked with children of all ages for the last three years and worked with families of all types! I’m open to completing other tasks if requested. I’d consider myself to be kind, patient and passionate especially when it comes to the little ones! Since my work as a Family Advocate, Wilderness Therapy Guide, Kids Ski Instructor, "Manny" (Nanny), Firefighter, Alpine Manager, Mountain Bike Coach, Lifeguard, and Summer Camp Director for multiple camps, I have gained and honed a diverse skill set. My experience provides families with a compassionate, professional, fun loving, supportive, flexible, and nurturing care giver. Whether you need a one time “babysitter” or a commitment over an extended period of time, I feel confident that I can provide the stimulating and/or structured environment, balanced and tailored for your little people to thrive. Philosophically, I believe in and promote autonomy and democracy; encouraging choice, individuality, compromise, and teamwork. I have a lot of experience with children, I have three brothers and the youngest is 13 years younger than me. I was a nanny for two years, worked in childcare for 15 months. Hello! If you're wondering how I would describe me as a person, I would say that I am a very positive, creative, patient, cheerful, and loving person and I have helped take care of children basically my entire life! For the past 4.5 years I have been nannying professionally for children of all ages. I have had two long term families that I have nannied for as well as a bunch of short term families as well. My typical age range has been infants to about 8 years old. The reason I love my job is that I really enjoy helping give all children that I care for a great childhood. I prefer to be more involved, so limiting screen time and taking time to teach new skills is very important to me. I personally always encourage being active and outdoorsy and doing stimulating projects like art, and participating in numerous different activities to spark the kids imagination. Hello! I’m Kada and I’ve had 6 years of experience with babies and children! I’ve babysat many children and infants over the years and I actually have a 18 month old daughter who just got into headstart so i’m looking for something to do to fill my schedule! I have also helped take care of my niece since she was born and she is 2 now. Before covid I was volunteering at kindercare on sunnyside for 2 years and worked with newborns to 11 months old mostly but also toddlers and pre school aged. I’ve been in children classes all of my high school years and I can change diapers, make bottles, and I was in culinary classes so I can cook too! When I wasn’t working or volunteering there, I was taking care of a 2 month old, 4 year old, and 8 year old at a family friends house and I would stay the night on Saturdays and cook for the kids, make dinner, play with them and make sure they get outside and weren’t on their tablets! People describe my personality as funny, nice, and very caring. I love working with kids and I’m available most the time! I also am great with animals, we have a few rescue cats and dogs and I can take care of your pets as well! I don’t really care about money I just love helping people but I want to get paid for doing something I love and I hope to become a daycare owner one day.
