My varied background with children of all ages, and my education provide a wealth of experience and knowledge that will enrich any home. In the past, I have been a nursery school teacher, provided childcare in my own home, was co-director of an elementary age after school program and summer day camp, and I was Christian Education Director at two churches, teaching children of all ages and multi-age groups. My educational background is an MA In Marriage, Family and Child Counseling, with a special emphasis on counseling with children. I am in good heath and am energetic. I've been a stay-at-home mom for about 30 years. In that time, I've raised my four children and two step-children, as well as two of my grandchildren. When my kids were younger, I provided childcare in my own home. I cared for most of these children for several years, including triplets for over two years from ages 4-6, two infants from a few weeks old to preschool age, and other infants and toddlers for shorter time periods. I also worked for a few years with elementary age students as a part-time cafeteria hostess in my child's school. My schedule is flexible and I am willing to provide some transportation. I love kids and I am young enough to still have fun with them! If you are looking for a strict, by-the-book nanny then I'm not the one for you. I am a college student, majoring in early education, who has 5 years of experience in babysitting children 3 months to 12 years, including children with special needs. I love creating fun, engaging activities like crafts, outdoor play, and story time, while always keeping safety as my top priority.
