I am recently looking for a morning drop off position, an afternoon part time position and/or an all day position for Fridays. I recent had to step down from my full time work at Children’s Home Society to focus on my internship as a therapist during the day. I have over five years of professional childcare experience working as a lead teacher for infants and toddlers for four years and working as a nanny for a year. I have babysat for many families for over a decade and have been with Sittercity since 2016. I have experience transporting children both in car and in small buses. I am CPR/ First Aid trained (recently renewed), I have a large amount of knowledge about child development, I’m fully vaccinated including recently getting the flu shot and soon to be getting a Covid booster per UW requirements. I relocated to Seattle from Texas where I taught Pre Kindergarten in a public school as a certified teacher for 5 years. I also taught PreK in California and worked in various schools in Orange County, California. Other experience includes KinderCare preschool teacher where I worked with 2 year olds and infants and part time babysitting over the years for families with kiddos of all ages. I am currently working in a daycare with children between 1-4 years old. I have also had the opportunity to develop myself in different aspects and areas. I have had the opportunity to work as a teacher's assistant in summer workshops at Weberbauer School. In this organization, I was responsible for supporting perceptual and motor learning in pre-kindergarten children. I was involved in the preparation of exhibitions, dances and plays for the children, as well as in the elaboration of didactic and formative material. Also, I volunteered for some months in the organization TECHO PERU, a nonprofit organization responsible for bringing aid to the neediest people, within my work I was part of the team of volunteers in the schools of remote communities where we support children in their homework, teach them to write, to read and provide children's shows as recreation with games and dances. I believe children should be nutured with love & respect. An educational interaction should be carried out daily like learning numbers & colors. Children are a precious gift. I worked for 11yrs as a para educator for the Renton School District,grades k-12 and loved it very much. I've cared for triplet boys from 6wks until they were 3yrs old and at that time they started preschool. I love to Read and interact our stories with pictures and music. I will always have a journal of your baby’s activities for the day including diaper changes and bottles. I will bathe baby daily if you so choose.
