I am a child care teacher, nanny, and now mom to a 16 year old. I work as a school district ECE teacher Sept-June and am doing some Weekend care for extra money. For a number of years I was a nanny in exchange for rent and did after hours care and evening and weekend routines with children 1 years old to age 10, including helping with chores and school work and getting them ready for bed. I enjoy doing cooking, dramatic play, and art with children and I make sure to get them some exercise and quiet time when with them for long stretches of time.

Hello! My name is Rumana, and I'm a recent graduate from UW Seattle. I’m currently studying for the MCAT and babysitting on the side, so my schedule is pretty flexible between the two! I am located in Seattle and can conveniently get to anywhere close by, such as Capitol Hill, but also have a car and can travel farther (Bothell, Redmond, etc.) if needed. I love kids and hope to become a pediatrician one day! To me, working with children is incredibly fun and exciting—I love to engage their curiosity and sense of play as a babysitter and help them learn how to be respectful and kind as peers at the same time. I have experience working with kids of all ages, particularly between infants to around 11 years old. When babysitting, I typically help kids read books, play lots of games, as well as do arts and crafts if available in order to stimulate their imagination and creativity.
