  • $20.00 per hour

My mother needs a care companion to come in and check on her a couple times a week for an hour or so per visit (depending on visit requirement/plan, e.g. Dr. appointments would be longer).

Care receiver:
- 73 y.o. Female with cognitive disfunction, including aphasia, dementia (short-term memory impairment), heart failure, etc.
- Recent hospitalizations have worsened her condition to the point where she is having a hard time speaking and figuring out how to do common tasks that she could perform before, but we are hoping this improves over time, especially with your attention and care.
- Doesn't drive, retired, so almost always home

Main tasks would include:
- Scheduling Doctor's appointments
- Dr. office visits, including taking notes for the family
- Shopping trips (grocery/target/etc.)
- Picking up medications
- Medication reminder, pill box check/maintenance
- Working on speech therapy by playing games, chatting, reminding her to do puzzles, etc.
- Companionship
- Reminding to exercise
- Help on how to do basic functions on her iPhone and Televisions
- Weekly email/text update to family

Nice to haves, though not required
- light housekeeping
- Meal Prep
