I'm writing on behalf of my mom who has been tirelessly tending to my declining father for the past several years. He is in his late 70's, physically competent but mentally declining. He is fluent in English having lived in the US for over 45 years, but does best with a native Russian speaker. They live in an elder independent living community, with meals and cleaning taken care of. My father needs help navigating the space as he gets confused easily, toileting, and being entertained with low-intensity conversation, like playing chess or reading a book. No need for transportation, though previous experience with dementia is preferred. We would ideally like someone who is available to occasionally cover overnights (we have an additional bed available).
