I have need for someone to present, in-home, to ensure safety of 2 Senior Citizens while I am at work.
One 70yr old female with mild Alzheimer’s/dementia. Her analytical and cognitive skills are good; she does not remember but does understand. She is a smoker. She smokes outside. She has set fire to the trash disposing of cigarettes. She does not need physical care or assistance. She does not wander. She will follow written instructions associated with alarms on her iPhone. She just needs someone to watch over her for safety.
The second is a 90yr old female. She uses a walker and is a fall risk. She could use help putting her shoes and socks on and placing her breakfast on the table. She can prepare breakfast herself, assistance can be helpful, transporting to the table is a challenge. She needs to keep both hands on her walker. There is no expectation to lift her if/when she falls. Expectations are to make her comfortable while calling EMTs. She does use an iWatch and iPhone but tends not to keep the phone in reach and forgets how to make a call using the iWatch. She is also hard of hearing and wears hearing aids.
Caregiver must be comfortable with dogs, there is an eight-year-old, well trained, Rottweiler in the home. The 70yr old will care for and feed the dog but may need reminding.
