I have been an elementary educator for 5 years for Denver Public Schools. Before getting my masters in curriculum and instruction I was the Director of Programs at a nonprofit youth center and daycare located in the Sun Valley neighborhood in Denver. Through this position, I have gained extensive knowledge about child psychology. I planned and facilitated daily field trips, led educational and creative activities, organized recreation and mindfulness exercises, and more. During college, I cared for twin three-year-olds and a nine-year-old girl for 3 years. With spending about 10 hours a day with these children I prepared healthy meals, did housework, helped with homework, took the children to activities, changed diapers, gave baths, designed developmentally stimulating activities for the children, and engaged in lots of play. While working for this family I learned how to be an extension of the parents by maintaining strong lines of communication with them. I have cared for a number of families over the years and have experience with multiples, newborns, toddlers, grade school-aged kids, and teenagers. I am energetic, dependable, creative, and patient. I am committed to providing your family the best care. Additionally, I have worked as a swim instructor teaching children of all ages how to swim. I would be happy to work on swimming with your children if desired. Through my vast experience, developmental psychology classes in college, and my extensive research in childcare I have developed a deep understanding of children of all ages. I am Lifeguard, First Aid and CPR certified for Adult and Pediatrics by the American Red Cross and American Heart Association. I have my masters in curriculum and instruction, a masters certificate in early literacy, and extensive training in infant language development and emotional regulation. I'm available to take kids to the children museum, other museums, libraries for story time, crafting and role play, dinosor ridge, tchou-tchou train adventure, feeding the giraffe at the zoo, feeding stingray at the aquarium. Playdate with friends or simply playtime at a park. I do not encourage tv, or electronic time for over 2 hours a day split this time in 30 mins increment during the day to watch educative videos for manners, civism, and other educational program according to age. I encourage children to be handy with motor skills, to develop and, enable them to explore, gain independence, and perform daily tasks like self-care. create, innovate, learning, and play. With parents permission, and depending on age, I offer rewards for good behavior, homework, parents assigned shores etc... I'm always open to learn, improve and adapt per each family need because what works one child, will not neccessary work for another.

I have 15+ years experience in babysitting. My passion for child care first started at a young age while my mother provided daycare in our home, taking care of children from the age of 6 weeks old to Pre-k age. As a result of that experience I became skilled in taking care of infants to toddlers. Later on out of high school I was an after-school teacher at my local elementary school. When I relocated to Atlanta, Georgia at the age of 22 I developed a passion and resources to go abroad and work with children over seas. I traveled to Colombia, and the Amazon where I volunteered with organizations teaching art as a form of therapy to under privileged children.
