I am looking for someone to take care of my parents for a few hours a week for now, hoping someday we can make it more hours. I guess it all depends on how much you charge, but right now it would be two days at three hours a day. My father has muscular dystrophy and is in a wheelchair, and he also has lymphoma hodkins so it’s hard for him to swallow food. He chokes a lot. I’m looking for somebody that would be able to bathe him, wipe him, and put his compression socks and wraps on and cook him a good meal. My mom, on the other hand, has dementia and needs help with light housekeeping, and I’ve already touched base on cooking. She doesn’t like to cook, and she especially doesn’t like to cook for my dad, but I think that’s the dementia. My mom likes to go out to lunch, so she probably would ask you to go out to lunch with her and she would need a ride to Adams to go grocery shopping, and you can tell her what ingredients you need if you wanna make some special for them. Right now, my mom is feeding him scrambled eggs and a sandwich, and he’s eating devil dogs, not exactly the most healthiest meals for someone so thin. You’d also have to be able to pick my father up if he was to fall and help him transferred from the wheelchair to a chair or to a car if he’s going for any appointments if he needs any.
