We are in need of an afterschool sitter for our 6-year-old daughter.

The job would require picking up from school at 2:40 p.m. in East Harlem. Taking her to the playground, library or other local places, and back to our home via public bus or subway. A couple days a week she would need to be taken to afterschool activities (gymnastics) or appointments.

My partner and I are public school educators, so home early in the afternoon. We would not need care after 4:30, but can be flexible with total hours. We also have a younger son who is in daycare, but may need occasional evening or weekend care for 2 kids.

We are seeking someone who is nurturing, patient and who enjoys being around a spunky kid! My daughter is kind, fun and wise beyond her years. She has behavioral diagnoses and challenges that require someone who is able to stay calm under tense times, be consistent, and support the strategies she is working on.

Pay is $30 per hour on the books.
