We are looking for an energetic individual for our energetic 14 y-o daughter who has an intellectual disability and ASD (level 2, so high functioning). We are seeking a person who would be enthusiastic about helping her connect with her community and learn independence in the community (travel training, interacting in stores, money handling). In the home, we want to help our daughter develop housekeeping, cooking and safety skills. We have a small, chill dog and would like for our daughter to learn how to help care for a pet. We would work together with her to come up with goals for your time together. Most importantly, we are looking for someone who will want to have fun together with her (think playing games, doing TikTok dances, exploring the city). She qualifies for a state program through Office of People with Developmental Disabilities (OPWDD) called Self Direction.
