We are seeking an attendant for our 16-year-old son with autism, ADHD, and other medical needs.

Hours are during the week from 5pm-11pm and possibly some weekends as well.

He needs supervision and prompting for safety, personal care tasks and getting ready for bed, practicing effective communication, prompting to complete homework, prompting to take medication, and engagement in tasks that further his social development and promote independence.

Applicant must be comfortable calmly handling irritability/agitation, impulsivity, and occasional severe aggression and/or property destruction. Applicant must also be able to exercise patience in regularly giving multiple prompts for task completion.

The rate of pay and number of hours worked is subject to change based on Virginia law, Virginia DMAS regulations, or changes in any other law or budgets affecting the administration of Medicaid in the United States. There may be a delay of 6-8 weeks for payment, but back pay will be provided.
