Afterschool care for Teens with Autism & ADHD: West Seattle
We are a West Seattle family looking for an experienced, calm, and engaged adult to provide structured afterschool care/support for our 15-year-old twin boys. Both attend the local high school.

About the boys
Both are autistic with ADHD and a mild seizure disorder. They are funny, active, and great company. They track a few years younger than their age socially and intellectually, and thrive with consistency, routine, and someone who takes them seriously as teenagers. They do not need ‘a babysitter’, but rather a trusted adult who holds structure well, is fun and makes them feel good about themselves.

What the role involves:
• the Boys walk home from school so the person would need to be at the house to meet them. Transportation to activities (1–2 afternoons per week)
• Homework support: whether or not they have any
• Life skills building and structured downtime
• Screen-free engagement (educational use only)
• Some weekend hours welcome but not essential
• Can help the boys in preparing dinner

Hours: Monday–Friday, approximately 3:45–7:00pm. Some hours at the weekend would be a bonus but not essential. Also, for the right candidate it doesn’t have to be 5 weekdays – that can be flexible.

What we're looking for:
• Experience with neurodivergent youth: ABA, special education, behavioral therapy, nursing, OT, or similar background strongly preferred
• CPR and First Aid certified
• Comfortable with seizure first aid (full written emergency plan from their doctor provided)
• Reliable, patient, and genuinely enjoys teenagers
• Driver with clean record

Pay: Competitive, commensurate with experience
