I have been a full time nanny several family's mostly younger children. I enjoy working with infants and young children. I have 32 years experience working with children. I have worked with infants to 16 year old's. I have worked with Mental and physically disabled kiddos and adults. I have worked with autistic children in the past. I have some sign language. I have a clean background and driving record. I had CPR and first aid certification for 27 year but first aid ran out last year and haven’t had time to renew. I am willing to renew.

My caregiver career started when I was 12 and my brothers were born. Being so much older then them I was capable of helping out. This meant giving them bottles, changing diapers and lots of play time. I soon found out that I had natural act taking care of kids which then led me to babysitting. To this day I still babysit and make connections with families in and around my area here in CO. Before the pandemic I started working for a daycare and was responsible for 5 1yr-2yr olds. This taught me more about the educational side of being a care giver and gave me tools to give more structure for the kids while keeping it fun. Due to the pandemic i was forced out of work and became a live in nanny for a family I met through the daycare. It was an amazing experience and they truly became like family to me. My corporate career has not been as satisfying as I thought it would be and am wanting to return to my roots.

I am a 54 year old retired and widowed Police Officer from the East Coast. I served for 23 years (8 of those in the SVU/Youth Division) and retired in Aug 2016 after I lost my husband. I now live in Parker. I have prior experience as a nanny for 4 years. My little charges were two infants, 2 toddlers, and one elementary school age girl. (All at the same time, still don’t know how I pulled that one off) I served in the military for 3 years then became a Police Officer in 1994. I’ve been a certified EMT since 1994 and even managed to help bring one child into the world. I am quite fond of caring for children from my previous experiences, whether it’s date night babysitting, mother’s helper if either parent is working from home and needs extra help keeping your child occupied without interruptions so you can focus on work. I’m a firm believer in love, and tons of cuddles with book time and laughter during play time. As Per individual parents wishes, I’d rather listen to laughing kids, using by age appropriate learning games, playing outside, getting dirty ( that’s what baths and washing machines are for) over using a TV for a babysitter per household day to day rules and norms. I am well versed in healthy meals for your child and can always prepare meals for the parents if they don’t have the time or energy at the end of the day. I’m fairly well versed with most cuisines depending on your family’s cravings, and dietary needs. If your kids are older and show an interest in cooking, I’d be delighted to teach them the basics and take a step back and see where their creativity takes them. It’s a fantastic way to boost confidence! I’m also available for travel in the event your child is young and the parents need some quiet time/childcare needs while traveling. Married - 29 years. We have 3 children.....25, 22, and 20. I have cared for children since I was a child myself. I continued through middle and high school and into my adult years. I did complete an Early Childhood Education course my senior year of high school and received my certificate for that. I worked in customer service/inside sales for a worldwide manufacturing company in Littleton, Colorado for about 10 years (until our first child was a year old). I then began working at Lakehurst Medical Center and remained there until our second child was born. From there, I have been a stay at home mom and I have also been the office manager for our plumbing company since 2006.
