Most recently, in my career work I was an Aquatic Educator and ran an afterschool fishing club for kids in grades 3-8 and had been teaching families with children ages 5 & up how to fish. I taught in public schools and private schools and then started the education programs at the Pisgah Center for Wildlife Education for preK & up where I continued to work with outdoor education for kids until the flood in 2021. I have experience babysitting siblings, keeping them safe and engaged in activities, preparing snacks/meals, putting them down for nap/bed. I have done after school pick ups as well as driven kids to activities. I am good with pets. I have had background checks and been fingerprinted in previous employment. I am 1st Aid and CPR certified. I have also raised my own child. I have experience with all ages from newborns, toddlers, elementary and middle schoolers. I am currently sitting 4 mornings a week 8-1pm (MWFSat) for a family that has a 2 & 3 yr old. They are screen free and we spend most of our day outside. I have been with them over 1.5 years and unfortunately they are moving out of town. I would love to find a new family to help.
