Hi! My name is Chanda. I am a Christian, a wife, and a mother of two beautiful daughters. I have been working with and teaching all age groups since I was 13 years old as a hip-hop dance choreographer. I knew then that I wanted to teach in any way that I could. Since then, I have been an after-school teacher for a middle school, an arts and crafts teacher at a charter middle school. I was at a childcare center where I went from being a lunch breaker and moving all the way up to Assistant Director at Siegel Learning Zone(2018-2020). I worked as the Assistant Director for the Primrose School of Murfreesboro(2020-2022). I left childhood care to work as a caregiver and then missed the littles so much that I went back to child care for a year at Cadence Academy. In early 2025 I completed my state exam to become a Registered Behavior Technician(RBT). Kids are a true passion of mine so I’m always learning how to help them more. My goal is to eventually open up my own childcare center. I love being able to make a difference in each one of their little lives. I make it my mission to intentionally know them all by name so that even with a greeting and a smile, it still makes a difference. I am fun, energetic, and love coming up with new ways to entertain/teach the children.

I love the outdoors, crafts, and encouraging developmental skills. I’m willing to do light house work, prep meals or snacks, and provide transportation if needed! I am semi retired SAHM 🤣 with grown adult children now (1 girl 24, & 2 boys 23 & 16). The last one is 16 yo and just got him his drivers license! Whew!!. I do miss the baby & toddler stages to be honest. I have baby sat for friends and neighbors on numerous occasions as well as other Sittercity families since joining this Ap in 2017. I’m probably not going to be your regular go to sitter, but can maybe pinch hit on occasion.

During the school year I work full-time as a speech therapy assistant in 4 elementary schools. I have nannied for the past 10 summers and babysit during the school year. Worked in the ER at Vanderbilt Children’s. Sign language is my 2 language, have been signing for 40 years, helped with many VB’s, Youth leader(yes camps and all) for 20 years.
