We have been using the same cleaning team for many years, and, although we like them as people, it now takes us at least an hour to prepare for each of their visits, due to setting up blockades so they do not damage furniture via careless vacuuming, etc., and the house does not look very clean at the end of their visits. We need to fix this situation.

We need a cleaning person or team who is willing to (a) be careful so as not to damage furniture, fixtures, etc., (b) follow instructions (e.g., do not wash the dishes), and (c) rotate some "deep cleaning" (e.g., washing non-papered walls) into the regular cleaning routine.

The house has four bedrooms, but one is not to be cleaned and another is not slept in. There are two bathrooms; one has a bathtub, toilet, and sink, and the other has a toilet and two sinks (and a shower that is not used as a shower and is not to be cleaned). No part of the basement or the attic is to be cleaned, so only the first and second floors (other than the aforementioned bedroom and shower) are to be cleaned. The floors (other than the kitchen) are wooden with area rugs. The kitchen floors have laminate tile on them. We will be re-doing the kitchen in the coming months, so there will be many visits during which the kitchen need not be cleaned. We have one cat, and he sleeps nearly all of the time.
