Seeking a part-time caregiver/support professional to work with happy, engaging young man (28) on the spectrum with language delays as he enters an important transition phase—building independence as he prepares to live in his own apartment in downtown Stamford. This role is about:
* Supporting Activities of Daily Living (ADLs) and independence skills
* Encouraging participation in social, recreational, gym, and computer-based activities
* Supporting community engagement and appropriate social interaction
* Providing calm, respectful structure aligned with established goals
* Working collaboratively with a team of caregivers and consultants
Ideal Candidate:
*Responsible, reliable, and professional
*Experience working with adolescents/adults with autism or developmental differences
*Background in special education, ABA, social work, speech/language, OT, or caregiving strongly preferred
*Warm, patient, and respectful approach
*Comfortable supporting independence rather than “doing for”
