I am writing to express my need for a dedicated and experienced caregiver for my 8-year-old son, who is on the autism spectrum. He is a bright and engaging child with a particular enthusiasm for sharks, and we are seeking a dependable individual who can provide a nurturing and structured environment for him.

The primary responsibilities will include assisting with his transition to and from the school bus, ensuring his safe boarding and disembarking. Additionally, support with after-school routines, including meal preparation and supervision, will be required. We are looking for someone who can help foster his independence while providing attentive care tailored to his specific needs.

This role primarily involves support during HCPSS half-day schedules and various school closures throughout the academic year. There is also a strong possibility of requiring assistance during the summer months, for which scheduling details can be discussed further.

Essential qualifications for this position include current CPR and First Aid certifications. Experience working with children with special needs, particularly those on the autism spectrum, is highly preferred.
