Avery has Angelman's Syndrome and is nonverbal. She is very friendly/social. She uses a talking device and also is great about getting what she wants and asking for help (ipad, milk, toy). She has many characteristics of Autism like flapping and getting very excited. She can walk and go up/down stairs by herself as long as she has something to hold onto. She also has a walker she uses. She is not potty trained and wears pull ups but she is great about helping during changes (pulls her pants down).
We are looking to introduce someone into Avery's life that we can use periodically for babysitting and possibly taking home from school one day a week. We would like to start by doing visits together to a zoo or park with the whole family. Then some solo visits for a few hours.
Avery has two families- Dad's family is in Tucker with a step mom and 2 year old baby sister. Mom's family is in Lilburn with a step dad and 3 year old sister.
