Caregiver/helper for family with a 9 year old with stroke

Looking for a caregiver/mommy’s helper (8 hr/wk) to attend to our nine-year-old son, who had a major stroke at age 5, and is nonverbal and non-mobile. The caregiver would be with him during his afternoon resting time, when he lays in bed 2-6 pm. The care would involve one G tube delivery of blended food, and is otherwise low stimulation interaction to change his music or turn him to his side. In the significant downtime we ask for light housework: children’s laundry, meal preparation (adult meal prep nice but not required) and tending to the kitchen (dishwasher).
Weds and Friday afternoons would work well for our schedule but there is some flexibility. Experience with neurological care and G tubes would be helpful but is not required since his needs during this time would be limited and the G tube is teachable.

Location is in a high rise in streeterville, an easy walk for students or health care workers at Lurie Children’s, Northwestern, or Shirley Ryan. indoor parking available.
