After-school Special Needs Caregiver in Springfield

- $25.00 - $35.00 per hour

Seek responsible, daily, after-school caregiver at our home for our non-verbal, 21-year-old son with epilepsy and autism. Ideal candidate seeks a long-term relationship with busy and nurturing family (last caregiver for 5. 5 yrs), is flexible and willing to provide support where needed. Essential functions: meet bus; give oral medication daily; play/entertain/read and engage; keep safe; assist with hygiene; feed snacks and clean up. Skills desired: Speaks English and comfortable to use iPad for communication; non-smoker; reliable transportation; mature, dependable, responsible, self-motivated and conscientious; CPR/First Aid-certified preferred; proof of COVID-19 vaccines and boosters. Hours: 3-7 pm for Monday, Tuesday, Thursday and Friday; Wednesdays from 1-7 pm. Additional hours available weekends, overnights and school holidays. Rate: $25-35/hour, depending on experience. Must be eligible to work in U. S. and clear background check.
