• Age: 2.5 years
• Developmental and Physical Considerations: developmental and motor needs (more specifics provided during interviews.)
• Currently attending daycare. Family is evaluating:
1. At-home care
2. A 1:1 assistant who accompanies him at daycare
Role Options
Option A - At-Home
• Provide safe care in the home
• Implement routines, structured play, sensory activities, and developmental skill practice
• Prepare meals and snacks
• Engage in outdoor play, walks, and age-appropriate activities
Option B - Daycare-Based Support Assistant
• Serve as 1:1 aide in the child’s daycare classroom
• Assist with motor, physical, and developmental needs
• Ensure safety and independence while promoting peer interaction
• Coordinate with daycare staff and therapists
Required Qualifications
• Experience working with children with special needs
• Up-to-date CPR and First Aid certification
• Legal authorization to work in the United States
• Ability to commute reliably to Friendship Heights
