The job is at a church, watching children while their parents attend services. There are usually about 2-5 children split between 2 services. The hours are 8:15am to 11:45am with about a half hour break between services.
Welcome families as they enter
• Ask if it is their first time here
o If yes, have them complete a registration form
Ask the child which activity on the table they would like to do.
• If the weather is nice, go outside to play
• Optional activities: singing, reading books, felt stories, crafts
• Some parents will come early to take their children to church for communion. Others will stay until service is over.
• When all children have been pick-up, straighten the room.
This is a W2 position. This is a temporary position with the possibility of being a regular employment opportunity.
