We are a military couple, a family of six including four kids, ages 3-11. We are a family of eight if you add our two dogs, ages 1.5 and 4 years old. It has been quite some time since we have had a night out without the kids. It is much needed at this point. We need the break and our marriage deserves the refresh. Depending on how it goes, we’ll add this into our routine maybe once a month.
We would need a sitter to supervise and manage the periodic chaos. Odds are we would have meals delivered for them on those days and bathed before the sitter gets in. That way it minimizes the housekeeping side of things. The kids are able to care for the dogs so that would not be an issue, simply someone that is comfortable with dogs.
We are located on a military base so we would need someone that has the ability to enter a federal facility.
