We just relocated to Atlanta from Alpharetta. We have 2 boys ages 9 and 11. They love to draw, build lego, play games (real and on screens). They can stay by themselves for short periods during the day, but we feel better having a sitter when we are going to be out past 9pm. We also have 2 dogs who are friendly but can be very active.
We essentially need a referee for when they may disagree, and someone to tell that the night is over and they need to get to bed. Also someone to be here if they wake, and may need reassurance that they can go to sleep, and their parents will be home soon.
We have sporadic date nights and week night obligations. We also do sometimes have travel where the kids stay back. We have always used family for this, but now with us living farther away this may not be as practical. We would love to have someone that we could potentially use for overnights.
