Hi! My daughter is trans and has ADHD and is going to public school next year. I’m hoping to help her build skills without overwhelming her. She’s had some mental health struggles, and I want to make sure she’s supported.
The ideal candidate will have strong social-emotional skills and be kind, confident, patient, and imaginative. Our current sitter is a social work student, and she has been great.
The general shape of the work: accompany her home from school (5 blocks), support her in keeping her space tidy, and help her attend appointments/activities as needed. We're located near transit, and there's generally parking on the block. School gets out at 3:45 most days and 2:30 on Wednesdays. We have some flexibility.
I did work like this when I was younger and sometimes it felt like the parents didn't respect me or my time. I'm committed to being ethical and kind, and I hope to find someone responsible and reliable.
